Most listings you will find for “gobo projector manufacturers in India” are not manufacturers. They are trading companies importing finished units and relabelling them. That is not dishonest in itself — plenty of good businesses trade — but it matters to you for one reason: when a unit fails in year two, a trader has no way to repair it and no spare parts to send. You get an apology, or a discount on a replacement.

Five questions that separate a manufacturer from a reseller
1. “Can you send me a spare driver for this model?”
The LED driver is the part most likely to fail. Anyone who builds the unit holds drivers in stock and can post one to you. A trader has to order a whole new projector. Ask this question first — the answer tells you almost everything.
2. “What is the exact IP rating, and of which part?”
A vague “waterproof” is a warning sign. A real specification names a number — IP66, IP68 — and applies to the whole sealed housing, not just the lens. If the answer is a brochure adjective rather than a number, the seller does not have the test data.
3. “Whose LED is inside it?”
The LED chip is the single biggest factor in how the projection looks and how long it stays bright. A manufacturer knows the brand because they specified it. Our ORBIT and NOVA ranges use OSRAM LED sources, and we will tell you that before you ask.
4. “Who cuts the gobo disc, and how long does a reorder take?”
The disc carrying your logo is a consumable. You will want another one when your branding changes or a new campaign starts. Ask what a reorder costs and how long it takes. A supplier who cannot answer is going back to a third party each time, and you will feel that in the lead time.
5. “What exactly does the warranty cover, and what does it not?”
A warranty that sounds unconditional is usually the least useful kind, because the exclusions appear only when you claim. Ours is deliberately specific: 1 year on the electronic components; the custom lens is not covered; damage from improper installation, physical impact or water ingress is not covered. That is narrower than “1 year full warranty” — and it is what we will actually honour.
What to check beyond the specification
Where the after-sales service physically is
A projector mounted eight metres up a facade is not a product you post back casually. Ask where the service point is, and whether the company has done installations in your state. A supplier three states away with no local presence turns a small fault into a long delay.
Whether they ask you questions back
This is the most reliable signal, and it costs nothing to test. Send your requirement to three suppliers. A reseller quotes the highest wattage you will pay for. A manufacturer asks how far the mounting point is from the surface, how big the image needs to be, and how much light is already in the location — because those three answers change the recommendation, and sometimes change it downward.
Whether the price includes the gobo
Quotes are often compared unfairly because one includes the custom disc and another does not. Confirm this explicitly on every quote before comparing the numbers.

What we will tell you that a catalogue will not
Two things worth knowing before you spend anything.
Projection needs darkness. A gobo projector is an evening and night-time tool. In direct daylight it will not be visible, whatever the wattage. Anyone who tells you their unit works in full sun is selling you something.
Higher wattage is not automatically better. Over-specifying is the most common and most expensive mistake we see. A 200W unit at three metres does not produce a better image than a 40W unit at three metres; it produces a hotter, more expensive one, and often an image so bright at the centre that the edges wash out. Distance and ambient light decide the wattage. We would rather sell you the ₹10,490 unit that is correct than the ₹46,870 unit that is not.

Yes. Send us your artwork and we produce a custom gobo disc for it. Clear, high-contrast designs project most sharply. If a design has very fine detail or subtle gradients that will not hold up at your projection distance, we will say so before cutting rather than after.
