Logo Projector in India

  • Logo Projector in India

A logo projector puts your logo on a wall, a floor or a building using light instead of paint, vinyl or a printed board. Switch it on and the branding appears. Switch it off and the surface is untouched. Change the logo and you change one small disc, not the whole sign.

You will see the same device sold under two names. “Logo projector” and “gobo projector” are the same product. “Gobo” is the trade word for the small disc that carries the artwork, and it is what lighting professionals call it. “Logo projector” is what most buyers in India search for. If you have been comparing the two, you have been comparing one thing.

Signovation is a logo projector manufacturer based in Surat, Gujarat, backed by Sign India Corporation, which has worked in signage and LED lighting since 1996.

Across the range, a logo projector from us starts at ₹10,490 for a 40W indoor unit and runs to around ₹46,870 for a 200W high-brightness outdoor unit. Custom gobo discs are quoted separately, because the price depends on whether your artwork needs a metal or a glass disc.

How to choose the right logo projector

Almost every buying mistake we see is the same one: choosing by wattage alone. Wattage is not brightness in a vacuum. What matters is how far the projector sits from the surface, how big you want the image, and how much other light is competing with it.

Start with the distance, not the watts

Measure from where the projector will be mounted to the surface it will light. That single number narrows the choice more than anything else.

  • Up to 3 metres — 40W. Reception walls, lift lobbies, small entrances.
  • 3 to 5 metres — 60W. Showroom floors, restaurant walls, corridors.
  • 5 to 8 metres — 100W. Building entrances, forecourts, larger retail frontage.
  • 8 metres and beyond — 150W or 200W. Facades, car parks, open outdoor areas.

Then check the light around it

A projection competes with whatever else is lit. The same 100W unit that looks brilliant on a dark facade will look weak next to a bright shop sign. If the location is already well lit, move one step up the list above.

Then decide indoor or outdoor

Outdoor units carry an IP rating, which is the standard measure of how well sealed a fitting is against dust and water. Our ORBIT series is IP68 and the NOVA and RIPPLEX series are IP66 — both suitable for permanent outdoor mounting in Indian weather, including monsoon. An indoor unit has no such sealing and must not be mounted outside.

The four logo projector ranges we make

AURA — indoor logo projector, 40W and 60W

For interiors: hotel lobbies, offices, retail stores, malls, restaurants, showrooms, airports and corridors. The 40W covers up to 3 metres, the 60W up to 5 metres. From ₹10,490.

ORBIT — outdoor logo projector, 40W, 60W and 100W

Our best-selling range and the one most outdoor branding projects use. IP68 sealed, with an OSRAM LED light source. Covers 3, 5 and 8 metres respectively. ₹10,490 to ₹21,360.

NOVA — high-brightness outdoor logo projector, 150W and 200W

For long throws and large images: building facades, architectural lighting and large-format outdoor branding. IP66 sealed with an OSRAM LED source, reaching 13 and 15 metres. ₹34,100 to ₹46,870.

RIPPLEX — water effect projector, 60W to 600W

A different effect rather than a logo: moving water ripples across a wall or ceiling, used for atmosphere in hospitality and events. IP66.

Where logo projectors are used in India

  • Retail and showrooms — logo at the entrance, offers on the floor, changed as often as you like.
  • Hotels, resorts and restaurants — logo on the porch, patterns on a wall, directional guidance in corridors.
  • Weddings and events — names and monograms on the dance floor, no printing, no waste, reusable.
  • Corporate offices — logo in reception, wayfinding on floors.
  • Factories and warehouses — safety markings projected onto the floor, which cannot be scuffed away by forklifts.
  • Outdoor advertising — building facades and compound walls after dark.

Why a logo projector instead of a printed sign

A printed board is fixed. Once it is made, changing the message means making a new one. A logo projector separates the fitting from the message: the projector stays, and the message is a disc that costs a fraction of a new board. For a business that runs seasonal offers or changes branding, that difference adds up quickly.

It also reaches surfaces a board cannot. Floors, glass, water, textured walls and the ground in front of a shop are all projectable and none of them take a printed sign well.

The honest limitation: projection needs darkness, or at least dimness, to be visible. A logo projector is an evening and night-time tool, and in bright daylight it will not show. If you need visible branding at noon, you need a printed or illuminated sign — and often the right answer is both.

Frequently asked questions

What is a logo projector?

A logo projector is a light fitting that projects your logo, text or artwork onto a wall, floor or building. The artwork sits on a small disc called a gobo inside the projector, and the light passes through it. It is the same device as a gobo projector, sold under a more familiar name.

What is the difference between a logo projector and a gobo projector?

There is no difference. They are the same product. “Gobo” is the trade term for the disc that carries the artwork, so lighting professionals say gobo projector, while most buyers search for logo projector.

What is the price of a logo projector in India?

Signovation logo projectors start at ₹10,490 for a 40W indoor unit and reach around ₹46,870 for a 200W high-brightness outdoor unit. The custom gobo disc carrying your artwork is quoted separately, as the cost depends on whether the design needs a metal or a glass disc.

Which wattage logo projector do I need?

Choose by distance, not by wattage. Up to 3 metres, use 40W. For 3 to 5 metres, use 60W. For 5 to 8 metres, use 100W. Beyond 8 metres, use 150W or 200W. If the location is already brightly lit, move one step up.

Can a logo projector be used outdoors in the rain?

Yes, provided it is an outdoor model. Our ORBIT series is IP68 rated and the NOVA and RIPPLEX series are IP66 rated, which means they are sealed against dust and water and are suitable for permanent outdoor installation through the monsoon. Indoor models such as AURA are not sealed and must not be mounted outside.

Can I project my own logo?

Yes. Send us your artwork and we produce a custom gobo disc for it. Clear, high-contrast designs project best. Very fine detail and subtle colour gradients lose definition at a distance, so we will tell you honestly if a design needs simplifying before it is cut.

How long does a logo projector last?

The LED source is rated for long service life in normal use. We provide a 1-year warranty on the electronic components. The custom lens is not covered under warranty, and damage from improper installation, physical impact or water ingress is not covered.

Do you deliver logo projectors across India?

Yes. We are based in Surat, Gujarat and supply across India.

Talk to us before you buy

The fastest way to get the right unit is to send us a photograph of the location, the distance from the mounting point to the surface, and roughly how large you want the image. We will tell you which projector and lens to use — including telling you when a smaller, cheaper unit is the right answer.
