2. Decide the required projection size
A 1-metre monogram and a 3-metre monogram at the same throw are different optical requirements. Tell the supplier both the mounting distance and the approximate image size you want.
The lens matters. Wattage provides available light; the optical configuration and distance determine the projected image geometry and size. Selecting only by wattage can therefore produce the wrong result even when the projector is powerful enough.
3. Check the venue lighting
Event lighting can change dramatically between setup and guest arrival. A projection that looks strong during a dark technical rehearsal may lose contrast when architectural lighting, stage lighting and decorative fixtures are operating.
Specify the projector for the conditions in which guests will actually see it.
4. Check the projection surface
Pale, matte surfaces generally provide stronger perceived contrast than very dark, glossy or mirrored finishes. Polished marble can create reflections, while a dark surface can make a projected image appear less prominent.

5. Check the mounting angle
